TALES & SCALES CAMPERS PERFORM AT CMOE’S FREEDOM GALLERY
Evansville, Indiana, June 29, 2009 – This Friday, July 3, Tales & Scales Camp Imagination campers will present their own, unique musictelling performances to family and friends at cMoe’s Freedom Gallery. At the 16th annual Camp Imagination, campers ages six through eleven journeyed through the world of performing arts alongside the Tales & Scales artists. Campers explored their creativity and became “musictellers” while participating in games and activities incorporating storytelling, music, theater, and creative movement. This week’s theme was Time Travel, so each day the campers explored what it means to be a musicteller in different time periods – from Medieval Times, to the Roaring Twenties, to the Future, and Ancient Greece! The campers will perform their time travel themed musictelling performances at 3:30 p.m. in the Freedom Gallery at cMoe.
Begun in 1994, Camp Imagination is a powerful tradition for Tri-state youth ages 6-11, where campers are invited to explore their creativity and become “musictellers” themselves! Campers explore their creativity and develop their own unique musictelling performances while participating in games and activities led by Tales & Scales artists incorporating storytelling, music, theater, and creative movement. No prior experience with the performing arts is necessary!
Two more week-long sessions of Camp Imagination 2009 still remain! Next week, from July 6-10, Camp Imagination will be held at cMoe. The third week of Camp Imagination will be held at the Henderson Fine Arts Center July 20-24. Limited space is still available in both weeks two and three for campers ages six through eleven.
