Camp Imagination 2010

Tales & Scales is so excited about Camp Imagination 2010! This year, we are presenting our 17th annual Camp Imagination in partnership with two wonderful community organizations, the Koch Family Children’s Museum of Evansville (cMoe) and the Henderson Area Arts Alliance (HAAA). AND….For the second year in a row, we are offering three whole weeks Camp Imagination!

At Camp Imagination 2010, campers are invited to explore their creativity and become Musictellers themselves! Campers will develop their own unique Musictales while participating in games and activities led by Tales & Scales artists incorporating storytelling, music, theater, and creative movement. Campers will share their week-long experiences by performing for family and friends on the last day of each session. No prior experience with the performing arts is necessary, and campers may attend one session, two sessions, or all three!

Camp Schedule

This year Week 1 will take place from June 28th to July 2nd at cMoe (Evansville, IN), Week 2 will take place July 12th to July 16th at cMoe, and Week 3 take place July 19 to July 23 in Henderson, KY (exact site TBD). All three weeks are full day camps for campers ages 6-11 (entering 1st through 6th grades). Camp hours are 9:00 am - 4:00 pm daily. Extended care is available, for an additional fee, from 7:30 am to 9:00 am and from 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm.

Camp Program

Based upon our nationally-acclaimed student workshops, Camp Imagination offers children ages 6-11 a unique opportunity to explore the world of performing arts by participating in daily games and activities led by Tales & Scales artists. Campers are encouraged to become Musictellers themselves, creating and performing with other campers as they gain experience and skills in creative problem solving, self-expression, self-confidence, and teamwork.

Camp Musictellers

Camp Imagination provides a unique opportunity for children in the Tri-State area to learn about the art of Musictelling that was developed right here in Evansville. Through up close and personal collaboration with Tales & Scales Musictellers, they will experience first hand the thrill of bringing their own creative works to life!

Campers

Campers must be ages 6-11, entering 1st through 6th grades. All materials are provided by Camp Imagination. A daily snack will be offered to all campers. All campers are expected to bring their own lunch and drink each day (no nut products, please). Campers should wear loose fitting play clothes and must wear lace up shoes only (no flip flops).
