Imagination Blast! Residency

Imagination Blast! residencies are based on the creative and collaborative process we use to create our musictelling works!

Your residency begins with a performance by Tales & Scales professional Musictellers and ends with a performance by your students! Students will learn to communicate ideas and story through music, creative movement, and spoken words as they work together to create a completely unique performance of their very own. Unlike learning lines of a play, musictelling is focused on the process of actively creating and imagining. T&S artists serve as directors, helping students decide what a scene looks and sounds like. Student will not only flex their individual imagination "muscles," but will work as a team, learning to use their creativity in a collaborative manner.

Residencies typically consist of 6 sessions, each approximately 45-60 minutes long.  Tales & Scales can accommodate up to 4 sections of up to 25 students each.  Residencies can be scheduled in-school or after-school.  Please note: Tales & Scales residency programs are adaptable and can be tailored to meet individual school needs!

Programs are available for children in grades K-6.

A syllabus for this program is available. All programs and materials are designed to address national standards in the performing arts.
