The Camp Imagination program is based upon our nationally-acclaimed student workshops which provide children the opportunity to become Musictellers themselves and perform their own Musictale. Campers participate in specialized games and activities which offer a unique, hands-on experience with the performing arts of music, theater and creative movement. No prior experience with the performing arts is necessary. Over the course of each week-long session, campers will use these varied performing art forms to explore their creativity and imagination as individuals and together with other campers. Each Camp Imagination day includes: • Storytelling: campers read fun and exciting stories, discover how such stories are created and recognize their own storytelling skills by helping to develop a unique Musictale with assistance from Tales & Scales artists and staff. • Music: campers will have an opportunity to play and perform with different musical instruments (including their voices!), and develop the music for their Musictale with assistance from our Tales & Scales musicians. Each camper will build a musical instrument to play and take home! • Theater & Creative Movement: under the instruction of our Musictellers, each camper will explore how their own body can become an instrument for individual and group expression, and together with other campers will help develop the theatrical staging for their own Musictale. Campers will share their week-long experience with family and friends by becoming Musictellers themselves and sharing their own, unique Musictale at a public performance at 3:00pm on the Friday of each session in UE’s WHEELER CONCERT HALL. (Mini-Camp performance will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday.) HOME • Touring
